Abstract: embryogenesis abundant (LEA) genes encode highly hydrophilic proteins that are essential in abiotic stressstudy identified an LEA family gene (PtrLEA7) from Poncirus trifoliata and studied its function in droughtPtrLEA7 was strongly induced by dehydration, cold and ABA treatments, and slightly induced by salt stressStress tolerance assays show that overexpression lines had enhanced dehydration and drought tolerancecompared with wild type plants, indicating that PtrLEA7 positively regulates drought tolerance.

Influence of drought and rewatering on the pattern of photosynthate partitioning of winter wheat

Gu Yanfang,Ding Shengyan,Gao Zhiying and Xing Qian

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 3,   Pages 59-64

Abstract: stress on photosynthate partitioning patterns of winter wheat, as well as ecophysiological responsesJimai20 and Zhoumai18, two winter wheat cultivars differing in sensitivity to drought stress, were grownIn experiment, plants were subjected to severe drought stress at the reviving stage, and then rewateredRewatering had compensatory effects on losses in winter wheat biomass induced by drought stress.Drought stress led to reduced photosynthate allocation in leaves and spikes, and increased photosynthate

APPLE SUMO E3 LIGASE MDSIZ1 NEGATIVELY REGULATES DROUGHT TOLERANCE

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 8, Issue 2,

Abstract:

Drought stress typically causes heavy losses in apple production and uncovering the mechanisms bywhich apple tolerates drought stress is important in apple breeding. MdSIZ1 RNAi transgenic apple trees had a higher survival rate after drought stress.During drought stress they had higher leaf water potential, reduced ion leakage, lower H2OTaken together, these results indicate that apple MdSIZ1 negatively regulates drought stress by enhancing
